‘In our deepest natures, we are frontier crossing beings... To cross a frontier is to be transformed... The journey creates us.’
Salman Rushdie
Travel Is Human Nature
People are mobile. They have two legs and walk. Over millions of years we have evolved into beings of movement, discovery and progress. It is unreasonable for people to cease to move, to explore or to evolve. In other words travel is and will continue to be a vital element of human nature.
To Move Is To Exist
Travel increases our understanding of the world and our place in it.
It shows us new things, provides new ways of seeing others and, by
extension, seeing ourselves. It’s enriching and, of course, enjoyable.
Travel
advances our understanding of the world and our place in it. It is
essential.
Increasingly people are questioning their travel, its impact and its cost. It is healthy for us to question the ease and cost of travel. Given that we are mobile, it’s unreasonable to believe that we will give up travelling. But we can travel differently, smarter, more ethically and more responsibly.
